..... Weeks

It seems that the things have been changing pretty fast, and guess what!!! I have been transfered to Department of Applied Mathematics, where I would be working on Artificial Neural Networks, per se... By the way, this department is much better than 'CE', at least, in the sense that I would be doing some real work, instead of designing websites, and of course, posting on blogs!!! See ya in some ................

The latest update

I really am quite confused about the utility of a blog; and thus am using it for all kinds of purpose(s) that I can think of. This post describes the latest in my life.... for "them" who are interested.
My life has always been in motion. It seems as if I was born with wheels instead of legs. And I have been using wheels quite so much in the past, moving from one place to another. So the following sums up the itenerary:
From Delhi to Patna and back, a few days at my home place and now I am in Pune... joined DIAT (they incidently took me in) as Junior Research Fellow, and am now supposed to be working on a research project, thus (possibly) creating something useful for this world! (strong words, eh!) Anyway, that is what I am supposed to do, and what am I doing???? Writing a blog !!!! And, that too such an un-technical blog that the Vice-Chancellor of this Institute, if he as much as takes a look at it, will render it unpublishable - anywhere!!! However, internet is a democratic place, and you can publish anything (Am I over the minimum word limit?? Yes) So that is all in my life ... I would respect the questions comming in. (Again, from "them" who may be interested ;) Take care... see ya in a couple of ...........

The Einstien's riddle

Hello friends,

A very good friend of mine told to me .... "You have got to start your blog!!!!"

So here I am, posting my first entry.

Surprisingly enough, this entry is not written by me, instead, it is a famous riddle by Dr. Albert Einstein himself. It is said that Dr. Einstein created this riddle and said that 98% of the world's population will not be able to solve the riddle. Friends, I have solved this, and I want everybody who reads this blog to solve it and post their results to me. Let us see how many of us belong to the world's 2% population.

ALBERT EINSTEIN'S RIDDLE

ARE YOU IN THE TOP 2% OF INTELLIGENT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD? SOLVE THE RIDDLE AND FIND OUT.

There are no tricks, just pure logic, so good luck and don't give up.

1. In a street there are five houses, painted five different colours.
2. In each house lives a person of different nationality
3. These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

THE QUESTION: WHO OWNS THE FISH?

HINTS

1. The Brit lives in a red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The Green house is next to, and on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the centre house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks water.

ALBERT EINSTEIN WROTE THIS RIDDLE EARLY DURING THE 19th CENTURY. HE SAID THAT 98% OF THE WORLD POPULATION WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SOLVE IT.
